Endeavour: eight days in Kamay is a suite of online learning resources published by the NSW Department of Education.

In 2020 I completed a voyage of discovery, the only voyage possible during Covid times. I found out that the stories I thought I knew about Captain Cook and his arrival in Australia in 1770 were wrong. There are many sides to most stories: complexities and mysteries.

As the project manager of the Endeavour: eight days in Kamay project I had the honour of working with a team of educators, historians, community members and researchers who are passionate about balancing the history books. Our goal was to provide students and their teachers with resources that will help them to understand the significance of the arrival of HMB Endeavour in Kamay Botany Bay. Our team’s mission was use existing evidence to present the stories of that time. Go on your own voyage of discovery to see what we found out - it’s just a click away.
